Getting around in Southeast Asia can be quite a challenge for the uninitiated—check out our helpful hints on how to stay sane while getting from A to B!

If you are planning a trip around Southeast Asia, you are in for a treat. The culture, the food, the people and the scenery are all completely amazing, and whether you’re staying in luxury resorts, camping on the beach, or chilling out in laidback Vietnam hotels, you’re bound to have the experience of a lifetime. When it comes to getting from place to place in Southeast Asia, your options are somewhat different to what you may be used to. Crossing the road in many of its major cities is equivalent to taking your life into your hands, and it’s not uncommon to see entire families riding on one motorbike. Things are different here, so allow us to fill you in on a few facts about getting around in Southeast Asia.

Crossing the Road

If you’re in a small village or backwater rural community, crossing the road won’t be an issue. Hell, there may not even be any roads to cross! When it comes to Southeast Asia’s bigger cities, however, things are a lot less safe. Cars, mopeds and rickshaws speed past at alarming speeds, following what appears to be their own strange interpretation of the road rules. The way to do it (so the locals say) is to look straight ahead of you, pick a point on the other side of the road, and walk calmly and steadily towards it. If you wait for a ‘good time’ to cross you’ll end up waiting all day, and if you hesitate while crossing you’re more likely to get into an accident. Trust us, once you’ve done it a few times, it’ll become second nature!

Getting Around Town

A tuk-tuk (or rickshaw) is often the preferred method of getting around in towns in Southeast Asia. These are a kind of undercover bike which are either motorized or pedaled manually by a (very fit) driver. These are inexpensive and culturally interesting, so we’d recommend a ride at least once!

Boating

A lot of places in Southeast Asia---particularly some of the most popular tourist spots—are only accessible by boat or plane. Islands in Thailand are best reached by boat, as are places in Indonesia. Be wary of over-crowding, however, and choose a reputable ferry or speedboat company, as there have been several tragedies involving boating accidents of late.

Driving

In short—don’t do it. It’s possible of course, and in places like Singapore or Malaysia it’s possible to rent cars and drive yourself around without too much hassle (some hotels in Malaysia will actually provide cars with drivers). In other places, however, traffic borders on total anarchy, so unless you’re up for a very challenging trip, we’d recommend hiring a driver that comes with the car!

Trekking

Southeast Asia boasts some gorgeous jungles and rainforests, and is the perfect location to bust out those hiking boots and mosquito repellent and go on a trek in the jungle. If you want to combine an even more novel form of transport with this, why not ride on the back of an elephant as part of a tour?

Getting around Southeast Asia is certainly a little different to simply renting a car and driving yourself. Because of the cultural differences (as well as the differences in infrastructure) most places in the region require more creative solutions to getting around! Ho Chi Minh Luxury City

A city where you can have real moment of ease despite the restlessness of the city, Ho Chi Minh is one of my favorite travel destination in Vietnam.

"Saigon", as some Vietnamese people called it, is a very important city of the country, the heart of the Vietnamese economy. The city has attracted a lot of luxury hotels, offering packages for tourists. The package includes spa and massage, as the country was influenced by his neighbor, Thailand, you can find very good massage, especially Thai Massage.

One of the most famous spa center is Lacochinchine on the center of the city - (141 (Lau 6), Nguyen Hue, P.Ben Nghé, Q.1) where you can have massage but also fitness and pool exercices.

After a time of relaxation, you can go to a French restaurant, specialized in dessert, called "Fanny Ice Cream" as the Vietnam was influenced by French culture, there are a lot of restaurants with French food. For example you can find easily bread like in Paris.

I succumbed for the Spring Rolls - a crepe with vanilla and blueberry ice cream - a real delight.

I couldn't have cared less. It was always a break from boring school life I was looking for. Neither did I pay much attention to the extravagant hotel rooms, remembering only a blurry sparkle of golden decoration everywhere, and endless channel selections on TV.

But just earlier this year, to celebrate my twentieth birthday, my Dad brought me along with him to Genting for one of his regular bi-weekly gambling sessions. The Maxim resort changed a lot - better, bigger, and even more luxurious than how I had remembered it. A fine gentleman in impeccable maroon uniform greeted us as we arrived in the lobby, swiftly loading our suitcases on the luggage tray. "This way please" he smiled, and led us up the golden elevator, through carpeted corridors that smelled heavenly, and unlocked a door right at the end.

I stepped in, and blinked twice. The room was humongous, with gigantic flat screen TV at one end, a king-sized, memory-foam layered poster bed at the other extreme, two working desks and two coffee tables with plush armchairs at their sides, and a cavernous closet. I saw sparkling furniture made of glass-and-steel everywhere it made me dizzy. The bathroom occupied at least another three quarter of the size of the bedroom, with a gargantuan marble bathtub, a separate room for automatic Japanese toilet (with another TV installed on the wall opposite the toilet!) and a shower cubicle with two showers inside with a panel of complicated-looking buttons that gave you plenty of choices of how you would like your spray to be.

"I can't believe we have this whole room to ourselves!" I exclaimed.

"No, this is my room. Yours is at the other side of the living room." My dad replied.

I almost died of disbelief. So I entered into a door a the end of the room that opened up to a big living room (with another bigger TV) and a small study. By the end of this, another door led to my room, equally as big as that of my Dad's, with equally luxurious bathroom. To be honest, it was rather a waste of space.

I spent the day marvelling at the wonders of what wealth could give you. In the shopping malls downstairs, I looked at a spread of collections of lifestyle stores, from jewellery to clothes to shoes, ranging from casual brands to the high-end luxury goods. After dinner, my Dad put on his suit, readying himself for the casino. I was curious, but the minimum age to enter Genting casino was twenty-one, so it was a good thing that I share an almost uncanny resemblance to my mom. I put on a knee-length gown, put up my hair into a bun, applied heavier make-up, and used her membership card to get in.

Inside, a filipino live band was playing beautifully in the middle of the fully carpeted, darkened room, underneath one of the many crystal chandeliers that adorned the ceiling. A spread of gourmet buffet was at one side, open twenty-four/seven, where casino players could get their infinite refill of foie gras or avocado shrimps. Meanwhile, the bar served a free flow of alcoholic drinks and fruit juices. Gambling machines and card tables littered the whole area, surrounded by people who constantly swiped cold sweat from their foreheads.

My dad proceeded to one of the VIP rooms where a bunch of his friends sat chewing their cigars and flirted with the female dealers. It was even more surreal than how I had imagined it. Glossy ladies with immaculate coiffure and polished nails wandered around the room, kissing their rich husbands' balding pates. They looked as if they had jumped off a page from Vogue.

It got boring afterwards, since my Dad was quickly engrossed in his game. So I went outside to grab a sushi roll and enjoy a glass of wine while listening to the band. As I nodded my head to sleep, lulled by their charmingly sweet melodies, I concluded that the advertisement on the website was quite true : When you are at Maxims Genting, you know you have reached a haven of luxury that is a class on its own.

Love From Capri

Refuge to emperors and princes, poets and eccentrics, Capri retains its amorous spookiness.

Capri, like many islands, has always colluded in its own secretiveness. The Villa Jovis of Tiberius, the most notorious pleasure palace of the Roman Empire, still stands at its eastern tip, and all over its cliffs of ilex stand the empty villas of the Belle Époque, when Capri was not only the gay capital of Europe but a sanctuary from an increasingly violent and industrialized continent. It was a place where eccentrics and wealthy fantasists could exorcize their demons. From Rilke to Norman Douglas, Axel Munthe to Henry James, Capri holds its fascinating charm and raw sexual appeal that tease the imagination like no other place has ever done.

Lovers still come, armed with all their credit cards. Yet democratic tourism has also come to avenge the snobbery of the past. The Naples hydrofoils disgorge the day trippers wearing color-coded baseball caps and, around their necks, translation devices connected to their ears. They move slowly, in tribal groups, like medieval mendicants. Strangest are the Russians, anxiously headphoned, dressed in Black Sabbath T shirts and Crimean beachwear and led through the piazzetta by guides covered with buttons. Since they evince no joy whatsoever, no one knows why they are there.

Fersen’s beautiful Villa Lysis still stands intact: its white columns encrusted with gold mosaics and its tiled opium den withstands the test of time. Ironically, Fersen also committed suicide on Capri, in 1923, by drinking champagne mixed with cocaine, and his house today is filled with photographs of his lover Nino Cesarini dressed as Pan. It was an affect, this paganism of the northern homosexual, but it had found at last a place that did not spurn it.

Clambering along wild cliffs above the sea at dusk, lost in back paths bordered with flaking villas and orange trees, eating wild leeks and drinking Greco di Tufa wine... these are only some of the things you may enjoy as you bathe in Caprinian luxury.

Much of Capri is pedestrianized, and the alleys carry earnestly quaint signs admonishing the ambulant rich to maintain values of “pulizia e silenzio”—cleanliness and silence—which is presumably what they want anyway.

Why do places become the way they are? Capri was certainly shaped by the myth of Tiberius himself, an emperor who has always been misunderstood. His hostile biographer, Suetonius, invented the myth of an aging debauchee locked away on his favorite island and having himself serviced by girls and boys nicknamed “minnows” who would nibble between his legs as he took his daily swim. The Tiberian palace became a symbol of mad depravity, but modern scholars think it is more likely that the adopted son of Augustus lived a modest and abstemious life on Capri. No matter. We imagine the Tiberius we want to imagine, and the Tiberius of Capri is a monster created by a fusion of absolute power with inscrutable island solitude. The island seemed to have intoxicated the ruler of the known world, and the tourist hedonists of the early 20th century took up this theme deliberately.

Meanwhile, its amorous spookiness prevails. On the remote paths between Jovis and Lysis, among the irises and fernlike wild asparagus, the land breathes a sexual heat and brightness. Enormous lemons grow in the sunken gardens, the white pillar houses set among strawberry trees like the villas of Minoan Crete. At night, on the path that skirts the sea toward the Arco Naturale, a deserted Roman cave shrine on the steps that lead up to the almost aerial restaurant at Le Grotelle.

At the other end of the island, another place that keeps ahold of the past is the Caesar Augustus hotel in Anacapri. This former residence of a Russian prince, Emmanuel Bullack, sits on thousand-foot cliffs that look across to Vesuvius and Naples, just below the Villa San Michele. It’s one of those Italian cinque stelle -lusso—five-star luxe—hotels whose prime virtue is their unostentatious simplicity. From the balconies of the rooms one looks down at falcons, at the emerald shades of a sea that does not forget its centuries. In the beautiful restaurant run by Giuseppe Resta, on offer is Seppia linguine with conch and king crab and eggplant and fava and sweet mint from the hotel orto with a bottle of chilled Fiano de Avellino. The great urban restaurants don’t get near this level of soul.

You can complain about what Capri has become—about the endless tableware stores, the yuppie underwear outlets, and the signs for “custom-made sandals”—but the nights still smell of sea and pine. The views in some unnerving way are already well known and memorized through news publications and shiny advertisements: the steep limestone cliffs crowded with umbrella pines and wild broom - and underneath, the limitless expanse of gemstone waters. Inevitably we will agree that Capri will forever be Capri.

My Mini-Moon at The Inn Above Onion Creek in Kyle, Texas

Emily Starbuck Crone, formerly Emily Starbuck Gerson, is a newlywed based in Austin, TX. She adores travel and is a professional writer, so in her free time, she combines the two passions and runs a travel blog called Maiden Voyage, which is geared toward 20somethings.

I never thought much about weddings until I got engaged, but I always dreamed of a grand honeymoon. Perhaps a long safari in rugged Africa. Maybe a beach retreat in a bungalow over water in Fiji. Shortly after getting engaged and dreaming up every possibly honeymoon idea, we decided upon an adventure in Spain. We would train around Southern Spain, eat delicious tapas, see gorgeous architecture, and have an incredibly romantic European honeymoon. I spent hours doing research and piecing together an itinerary.

As the wedding approached, reality set in. My soon-to-be husband was busy with his first year of law school and had no income (we didn’t want to get married in the summer because it’s ungodly hot here in Texas). We didn’t know how much money we would get in gifts for the wedding. I had a good amount of travel savings, but we didn’t know if it was the best idea for me to foot the whole bill.

After me shedding many tears, we decided that we would take a very short but luxurious honeymoon nearby with hopes that we will take a delayed honeymoon sometime in the near future. Several months before the wedding, we stayed one night at The Inn Above Onion Creek in Kyle, Texas just for fun. The B&B is only 20 minutes out of our city of Austin, but it’s so peaceful and rural that you feel like you’re worlds away. It sits on 88 acres in the Texas countryside, with no nearby city lights or noise. It was so romantic and relaxing.

We realized that this would be the perfect place for our mini-honeymoon. We got married in downtown Austin and stayed that night at the Omni Hotel Downtown in a beautiful suite. The next day, after dropping some things off at the house, we drove down to Kyle.

The B&B has 10 rooms and two stand-alone cottages. The rooms are spread amongst two buildings that are adjacent to each other, and all open to the outside. All rooms have either a front porch or back porch; some are shared, and some are private. Both times, our rooms had porches that overlooked the countryside. On both trips there, we spent countless hours sitting outside and reading, talking, enjoying the view, and watching the sunset.

My favorite thing about The Inn Above Onion Creek is that a three-course gourmet dinner is included in the room rate, as is a gourmet breakfast. You eat the dinner at shared tables in the dining room, which allows you to meet some really interesting people from all walks of life. However, if you want some privacy, you can pick up your dinner to-go and eat it wherever you want. Even better, the dining area is left unlocked at all times and always has several jars of homemade cookies for the taking, plus free bags of popcorn that you can pop in the microwave. You also have access to free juices and sodas 24/7. Forget expensive mini-bars at hotels—it’s included in the room rate here.

The first night, the dessert was homemade tres leches. It was incredible. One of the other highlights for me was the first course on the second night; it was a tart with goat cheese, caramelized onions, and balsamic vinegar. The entrée one of the nights was local roasted chicken, which was moist and fantastic. The other night was a fish dish that I was a bit ambivalent about, but I was unexpectedly in love with the pureed root vegetables, which was like mashed potatoes but better. I didn’t like that night’s dessert—lemon curd—so I stocked up on homemade cookies instead, which were fantastic! I vividly remember the meal from our first stay there. It was the best pot roast I ever had, so tender and made from locally-raised beef. The dessert was a sinful fresh apple pie a la mode.

The first time here, we stayed in the Kyle Room, a beautiful room with a king-sized bed, fireplace, and two-person bathtub. For the honeymoon, we stayed in the Kuykendall Suite, which spanned two floors. The bottom floor was a large sitting room with several chairs, a couch, a TV, a wet bar and mini-fridge, a half-bath, and a fireplace. Upstairs was a king-sized bed and a bathroom with not only a huge two-person tub, but an enormous double shower, too—I had never seen one in person before! There was also a fireplace in the bedroom. We were there during a cold snap, so we had one of the fireplaces going nearly the whole time we were in the rooms. The rooms here have a clean and sophisticated feel, yet they are also so cozy with a Texas country vibe.

Another interesting feature here is a library, which you can use at any time. It has a large television with a DVD player, dozens of board games, tons of DVDs, and hundreds of books. You can borrow any of these for free, or you can hang out and enjoy them in the library. All of the guest rooms have TVs with DVD players, but it’s nice that you have the option to watch something in the library instead. The Inn Above Onion Creek has a pool—I wish it had been warm enough for me to get to use it! The inn also has an on-site spa, though we didn’t use it either since it’s a little pricey. They also have a scenic overlook of the creek it is named after. We were bummed that the creek was dry, but the nice nature walk there was really pleasant.

While this wasn’t my dream honeymoon I had always pictured, it was the perfect relaxing getaway that we needed after the stressful wedding process. We dined on phenomenal cuisine, read in front of the fireplace, and watched the sunset over the Texas countryside together. It was just what we needed.

Many people have heard about Ski Dubai, the indoor ski slopes in a shopping centre in Dubai and some even may have seen them on a travel channel here and there. How cool (no pun intended) would it be to ski in the desert!

The slopes there are graded included a red and black run. It would awesome to gather speed as you head down hill....And even though it's indoor, there will still be risk of accident included! So you've got to be really careful not to get carted off to hospital due to ski injury.

We do recommend doing this activity for the pure novelty of it..snow in the desert. Only those traveling in style and luxury can afford it!

WORLD'S MOST EXPENSIVE YACHT

Originally a lightweight Dutch naval vessel used to pursue pirates in shallow waters, the Jacht (as it is called there), King Charles II chose to sail in one on his return to England in what would later be known as the English Restoration. Slowly, (but surely), the Jacht became a symbol of important and, eventually, wealth and luxury. Today, that tradition is still quite alive and nothing demonstrates that fact better than the most expensive yachts in the world.

Octopus – $200 million

Owned by Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen, Octopus is the world’s eighth largest yacht. The 414-foot yacht was first launched in 2003. The yacht has two helicopters, a submarine with room for ten men and seven boats. For those who’d like to see the ocean floor, the yacht even includes a remote controlled vehicle to do so!

Rising Sun – $200 million

Co-owned by Oracle’s Larry Ellison and media mogul David Geffen, Rising Sun is 453-feet and five stories of oceangoing luxury. It was built with one goal in mind—to exceed the size of Paul Allen’s Octopus, above. This pricey yacht has 8,000 feet of living space with onyx countertops and Jacuzzi bathrooms, a spa and sauna, a gym and even a private movie theatre with an enormous plasma screen.

Lady Moura – $210 million

Dubai – $350 million

This costly yacht has gone by three names since its conception—Platinum 525, Golden Star and, most recently, Dubai. The Platinum 525 was commissioned by Prince Jefri Bolkiah of Brunei in 1996, but a lack of funds caused the project to be abandoned a scant couple of years later. In 2001, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, then Crown Prince and now ruler of Dubai, took over the project and renamed it the Golden Star. Dubai is as expansive as it is expensive. The 525-foot yacht features an owner’s suite, five VIP suites and a number of guest bedrooms. The bridge features the captain’s quarters, an office and a lounge. The foyer and atrium connects each deck while lighting them from above via skylight. The luxury yacht is powered by four diesel engines with over 9,000 horsepower altogether.

Streets of Monaco – $1.1 billion

The amazing Streets of Monaco yacht will not only rival Roman Abramovich’s Eclipse (below) in price, but also in sheer audacity. Rather than being the largest or most secure yacht in the world, Monaco will feature scaled-down reproductions of landmarks from its namesake city-state. This 500-foot yacht will feature a go-kart track on deck inspired by the Monaco Grand Prix, as well as reproductions of the Hotel de Paris, La Rascasse and the Loews Hotel. It’s being designed by Yacht Island Design of Derbyshire County in England and will accomodate 16 guests and 70 crewmembers. For the owner, a 4,800-square-foot suite with three floors is planned.

Eclipse – $1.2 billion

Russian billionaire and Chelsea football club owner Roman Abramovich’s super-yacht will be a 560-foot monster requiring a minimum of 70 crewmembers and featuring eleven guests. Abramovich and his guests will be protected by a security system that uses laser bursts to foil digital paparazzi photography when activated, anti-bugging and anti-intruder systems and a missile detection system. They’ll also enjoy a swimming pool that can be drained and used as a dance floor, an additional swimming pool and an aquarium. The yacht holds two helicopters, three boats and a submarine.

If you're in Nuremberg for the weekend, looking out for some luxurious fun to spend the night away, here's some spots that you may want to visit :

1. Head first for a cocktail to Backerhof. The building from the outside is so unassuming, but ascend to the second floor and you feel as though you have just walked into your grandmother's living room, that is, if your grandmother is a countess from many generations of old german aristocracy and her 'living room' is more like a ballroom where she holds court on a leather chaise underneath a massive crystal chandelier, flickering candelabras, velvet curtains, over 20 ft ceilings and rows of bookshelves. But your grandmother is hip: she turns the music up loud, the lights down low, and serves a mean martini.

Surprisingly, on the other side of the bookshelves is a Thai restaurant. It is known for its vegetable spring rolls, chicken satay with peanut dipping sauce and the classic pad thai noodle dish, among other fairly authentic Thai offerings. When you're finished dining, head back to the lounge bar to chill out.

2. Have your dinner in La Locanda. It is a little Italian hole-in-the-wall just outside the city walls. The owner knows how to have a good time and, as the night wears on, notice the music gets louder and he might even be dancing on the table next to you. There are no menus here, each day there is a new list of dishes written on a chalk board that is brought to you table-side:

May we suggest to start your meal with antipasto plate, offering all sorts of grilled vegetables, various salumi, vitello tonnato (typical northern italian dish consisting of thin slices of veal with a tuna sauce on top) green beans, mushrooms, caramelized onions and the like.

And then move on to pasta dishes that included gnocchi alla sorrentina (not exactly authentic as the mozzarella cheese is supposed to be melted and stringy within the sauce, but the gnocchi themselves were plump and delicious), large ravioli in a truffle sauce, spaghetti in a red sauce of mussels, and strozzapretti (literally 'priest choker', a form of pasta that looks like elongated cavatelli) alla N'duja (a SPICY spreadable sausage made with pork from Calabria, Italy).

Among the choices for main dish is the argentinian steak filet with truffle sauce and veal scaloppina cooked in marsala wine.

The music changes depending on the night and you can sit in the lounge or around the oval shaped bar and have a cocktail, or head to the lower level to the dance floor and show the glamorous crowd your moves into the wee hours of the morning; you'll probably be about ready for another round of pasta by then.

Typically boutique hotels are furnished in a themed, stylish and/or aspirational manner. They usually are considerably smaller than mainstream hotels, often ranging from 3 to 50 guest rooms.

Boutique hotels are always individual and focused on offering their services in a comfortable, intimate, and welcoming setting, so they are therefore extremely unlikely to be found amongst the homogeneity of large chain hotel groups. Guest rooms and suites may be fitted with telephony and Wi-Fi Internet, air-conditioning, honesty barys and often cable/pay TV, but equally may have none of these, focusing on quiet and comfort rather than gadgetry. Guest services are often attended to by 24-hour hotel staff. Many boutique hotels have on-site dining facilities, and the majority offer bars and lounges that may also be open to the general public.

Despite this definition, the popularity of the boutique term and concept has led to some confusion about the term. Boutique hotels have typically been unique properties operated by individuals or companies with a small collection. However, their successes have prompted multi-national hotel companies to try to establish their own brands in order to capture a market share. The most notable example is Starwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide's W Hotels, ranging from large boutique hotels, such as the W Union Square NY, to the W 'boutique resorts' in the Maldives, to true luxury boutique hotel collections, such as the Bulgari collection, Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants, SLS Hotels, Epoque Hotels,Thompson Hotels, Joie De Vie hotels, The Keating Hotel, and O Hotel, among many others.

There is some overlap between the concept of a small boutique hotel and a bed and breakfast.

In the United States, New York remains an important centre of the boutique hotel phenomenon, as the original Schrager-era boutique hotels remain relevant and are joined by scores of independent and small-chain competitors, mainly clustered about Midtown and downtown Manhattan. The French Quarter and the Garden District, New Orleans have several dozen boutique hotels, most of which are located in old homes or inns. These usually provide an ambiance based on 19th-century antiques, artwork with New Orleans themes, vintage or reproduction furniture and decor and/or interesting historical associations. Miami and Miami Beach also have several boutique hotels, found mostly along the beachfront streets Ocean Drive and Collins Avenue. Most of these are in buildings from the heyday of the Art Deco period. Their attractions include the Art Deco ambiance, beach access, nouvelle and Latin cuisines, and tropical-themed interior decor.

The concept of boutique or design hotels has spread throughout the world, including European countries like Spain and East Asian countries such as Thailand, where many boutique or design hotels are sprouting, especially in resort locations, such as Phuket and Hua Hin. Other Far Eastern cities in which boutique and design hotels are becoming increasingly popular include Bangkok, Singapore, Malaysia, and Hong Kong. Boutique hotels are even appearing in such places as Indonesia, mainland China, Iceland, Peru, and Turkey, demonstrating that the concept has penetrated beyond the typical design capitals of the world and is entering new markets.

Since a couple of years, hospitality industry is following the general "no-frill chic" consumer trend, with affordable or budget boutique hotels sprouting and thriving all around the world. 3. Marylebone High Street

Marylebone High Street is the main artery of the little shopping district of Marylebone, and while the High Street is most fascinating, the other smaller streets girdling it are definitely worth checking out as well. The shopping here is demure and sophisticated, with the bigger brands giving way to the smaller independent labels. Check out Mascaro the shoe shop which has gorgeous shoes (they also carry stock from Pretty Ballerinas, which makes ballet flats that are to die for…!!), Daunt the bookstore, and the Oxfam secondhand bookstore where you can buy quality books for 1-2 pounds.

4. Regent’s Park

A huge, beautiful park in the heart of London that draws you in even in the winter. It is such a romantic place to be in when the sun is setting. Also watch out for ducks galore, and a rose garden that blooms in full glory during summertime.

You will love this museum right down to its secret enclosed spaces and the graffiti on the back of the doors in the women’s bathroom stalls. Definitely a must visit in London, if you’re into art galleries.

Borough Market is a roomy food market in Southwark that sells all sorts of international gourmet food under one roof. Marina Bay Sands is an integrated resort fronting Marina Bay in Singapore. Developed by Las Vegas Sands, it is billed as the world's most expensive standalone casino property at S$8 billion (US$5.7 billion), including cost of the prime land.The resort was officially opened with a two-day celebration on 23 June 2010 at 3.18 pm, after a partial opening earlier in April. With a collection of celebrity chefs, leading fashion, nightlife, and luxury spa operators, extreme sports aficionados, and musical stars on hand, Marina Bay Sands held its Opening Celebration last month, with company officials predicting the property would usher in a new era of international tourism development.

“In Singapore, Marina Bay Sands will be the pivot point in which tourism here is going to explode.”

said Mr. Sheldon G. Adelson, chairman of Las Vegas Sands Corp.

Marina Bay Sands features three 55-storey hotel towers which were topped out in July 2009. The three towers are connected by a 1 hectare sky terrace on the roof, named Sands SkyPark.

The SkyPark is home to the world's longest elevated swimming pool, with a 150-meter vanishing edge, perched 200 meters above the ground.

The pools are made up of 181.6 tonnes of stainless steel and can hold 1440 cubic metres of water.

The SkyPark also boasts rooftop restaurants, nightclubs, gardens hundreds of trees and plants and a public observatory with 360-degree views of the Singapore skyline.

In front of the three towers include a Theatre Block, a Convention and Exhibition Facilities Block, as well as the Casino Block, which have up to 1000 gaming tables and 1400 slot machines. See more Casinos.
